About The Project
This is our watershed moment to transition our rich, remote region into an innovative economy. Watersheds are geographically large but highly connected through visible branching rivers and invisible deep aquifers that organize and sustain the entire ecosystem. Our engine will be an innovation ecosystem or watershed that focuses and shares knowledge and resources between central arteries (established organizations / resources) and remote tributaries (small organization / resources) for distributed growth in our region.
We will use our watershed moment to:
- Restore our water and the greatness of the communities in our region.
- Re-energize our youth by building the clean energy economy of our future.
- Re-imagine and reshape how our rich and innovative cultures share knowledge to create distributed, scalable solutions that sustain our region.
Energizing a watershed is an innovative, holistic strategy for managing the water supply for communities in our region in a sustainable, equitable, and culturally appropriate way. Regional water resources are determined by natural geological/hydrological borders (watersheds) that cross our political and cultural borders. Organizing a distributed energy infrastructure (fractal grids) based on watershed hydrology (fractal rivers) will allow communities to partner across political and cultural borders by simultaneously managing water and energy resources, ensuring access to remote areas, and enabling sustainable growth.
